My Mom is a Survivor

My Mom is a survivor,
or so I've heard it said.
But I can hear her crying at night 
when all others are in bed.

I watch her lay awake at night
and go to hold her hand.
She doesn't know I'm with her
to help her understand.

But like the sands on the beach
that never wash away . . .
I watch over my surviving mom,
who thinks of me each day.

She wears a smile for others . . .
a smile of disguise!
But through Heaven's door I see
tears flowing from her eyes.

My mom tries to cope with death
to keep my memory alive.
But anyone who knows her knows
it is her way to survive.

As I watch over my surviving mom
through Heaven's open door . . .
I try to tell her that angels
protect me forevermore.

I know that doesn't help her . . .
or ease the burden she bears.
So if you get a chance, go visit her . . .
and show her that you care.

For no matter what she says . . .
no matter what she feels.
My surviving mom has a broken heart
that time won't ever heal

Sweet Tyler, I am so sorry I never had the honor of meeting you during your time here on Earth, but I have gotten the chance to get to know you through your wonderful mother.  She loved you then, loves you now, and will love you forever.  You are such a special boy to so many people, and you have touched so many lives.  I wish I could had met that precious boy.  When it is my day to come to Heaven, I will give you a big hug and tell you "Thank-you" for you brought your mom and I together in a wonderful friendship.  Please, sweetie, take good care of my angel Baby Jayden, and my angel nephew Blake and tell them I love them so much!

Dear Mommy, I just wanted to let you know
that I made it home.
The journey wasn't an easy one,
but it didn't take too long.
Everything is so pretty here,
so white, so fresh and new.
I wish that you could close your eyes,
and that you could see it too.
Please try not to be so sad for me....

God is taking care of me...
I'm in the shelter of His hands.

Work shop in heaven / Ray Loftin (Mother's Friend)
I can't picture God having angels just hanging around up in heaven. That would get awful boring after you had met all the friends and family that have gone on before you and met all the new friends.
I can imagine God's angels doing the things they used to love to do here on earth.
A golfer is probably golfing. A fisherman catching big fish. A reader reading the latest books. A skier sking beautiful snowy slopes. I can picture many things they might be doing in heaven.
Somehow, I get a picture of Tyler and PaPaw in a workshop fixing all kinds of things for the other Angels that keep breaking things doing the things that they love to do and telling Tyler and PaPaw every day how much they appreciate their keeping all their toys and equipment working.
I am sure little Tyler is having a ball with a big smile on his face.
